As a member of the HealthPartners® Freedom Plan (Cost), you may receive:

Freedom Plan Travel Benefits
Do you like to travel? Do you spend most of the winter in a warmer climate?
Through Plan II or III (Minnesota only), you get the Extended Absence Benefit so you can travel outside the plan's service area and within the United States for up to nine months each year and still receive covered healthcare services from non-network providers. Contact Member Services or log on to your HealthPartners.com account to activate your Extended Absence coverage. The non-network providers you see must participate in the Medicare program. Some of these providers may require you to pay for services at the time they are provided, but you can then submit a claim to HealthPartners for reimbursement of the services covered by your plan.
Emergency and urgently needed care are covered anywhere in the world through Freedom Plans II and III. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital or medical emergency center.
